Olive's Ocean by Kevin Henkes

This is one of the ALA's most frequently challenged books. According to their website, this is due to "sexually explicit and offensive language ", but I have no idea what they are talking about. I don't think there is even a curse word in here. And the only sexual thing I can come up with is that the parents in the story are being extremely giggly and flirty with each other and it's described as 'morning sex behavior', as in - the parents had recently had sex and were acting silly.

The Longing by Beverly Lewis

I think it's safe to say that I'm done with my Amish phase. So much Amish angst!! This was the last in a trilogy, and I had to finish - that's just how I roll.

The Forbidden by Beverly Lewis.

Yes, an Amish harlequin. When my beloved saw what I was reading, he rolled his eyes and said "you're turning into my mother".

That's better than turning into my mother.
